I’m a specialist obstetrician, gynaecologist and laparoscopic surgeon practicing at the Epworth Freemasons and St Vincent’s Hospitals in central Melbourne. I am passionate about caring for families through their pregnancy journey and helping women overcome gynaecological difficulties – including providing modern treatments and assisting with pain management.

I’m a private specialist obstetrician at the Epworth Freemasons and St Vincent’s Hospitals and Associate Professor of Obstetrics at the University of Melbourne. I love what I do. It is a privilege to guide my patients through the joys and challenges of pregnancy, birth and beyond. I have qualifications in both obstetrics and gynaecology, and my research interests ensure I’m always informed on the latest in these fields.

We are proudly an all-female obstetric practice. While Associate Professor Fiona Brownfoot, Dr Claire Francis and our midwife, Prue, will provide most of your care, we also have access to a highly regarded group of female obstetricians who help us cover ‘on-call’ needs. We only work with health professionals we know and trust, so you can rest assured you’re always in safe hands.

Support from an expert midwife

Midwives play an important role in caring for women throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Our resident midwife, Prue, is excellent and brings with her many years of experience. Prue will guide you through the midwifery aspects of your pregnancy, birth and more.

Our rooms are located at the Epworth Hospital in East Melbourne. The Epworth is Victoria’s largest not-for-profit private hospital group, with a reputation for excellence and innovation. You’ll get to know the hospital during your regular appointments, which means you’ll give birth in a familiar setting.
